A Little Light Music.  These past few weeks have been spent in organizing substantial research requests to various institutions, all directed toward production of The Book.  The form and voice of the text are clear to me, as is the strategy of the presentation. Doing the necessary study and writing will inevitably mean less, indeed perhaps little at all, new graphic material will appear within the site. However, I started putting up some of the Camp Fire Musings written by Purcells' grandfather, William Cunningham Gray (1830-1901).  These writings are the metaphysical blueprint for understanding Purcell's outlook and commitment toward progressive thought.

Roadside rest stop.  Regular readers have sent emails kindly inquiring when I will add more to the site. There is actually some good news to report. A new computer [P4, 2.8 MHz, with a 160 GB drive] has arrived courtesy of a concerned soul, and I've been spending what time was available on bringing it into service and making necessary changes in the server configuration. The ancient 1992-vintage computer is now dedicated to serving a site of much less traffic that will launch, or more technically re-launch, come the first of the year, ClubEgyptology.net. In the great tradition of hand-me-downs, the tasks of serving Organica to the world now comes to the 1998 Pentium 2 350 MHz.  I estimate about twenty hours of work remains before this shift is complete, but who knows what isn't going to work with what and how long workarounds may take?

Discerning eyes have seen the notice on the home page about The Book. In truth, I have starting drafting the Introduction.  Writing is going to lessen the graphic material that gets added, but my intention remains to present the draft as I go along on the web site. I have also acquired more current versions of OCR and imaging software which will make scanning some of the referenced older publications easier. Hopefully all will be in place and working by the end of November.

End 2004.
