Correspondence, 1914-1919: Artist Commissions and Sale of the House

Letter from Richard W. Bock to William Gray Purcell (December 27, 1914)

My dear Mr. Purcell--

The group of "Little Nils and his goose" is done and I had aimed to comply with your modest request but in casting the group I had unexpected trouble which gave me considerable extra work. So that I will not be able to have Nils in Minneapolis by the 29th. But will endeavor to have him there by Sunday next. Regretting exceedingly the disappointment it will cause you but I venture to assure you, you will derive ample consolation from the work, and my efforts when you get it.

Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year, I am,

Sincerely yours,
Richard W. Bock [signature]
