BENNETT [Carl K.] - Six Little Houses

Carl K. Bennett, president of the National Farmers' Bank of Owatonna, had some town lots he wished to develop as income producers, and we discussed with him the possibility of building some houses for sale or rent, and made some sketches for some of them. Both rental and sales values in Owatonna were so low and demand in a town that was not growing was so uncertain, we could find no way to produce a set-up which promised any satisfactory rental returns.
